If you're between after-school jobs or you just have a few hours on your hands, there are tons of neighborhood chores you can do to earn some money. Whether you choose to advertise on a neighborhood list serve or with signs posted in your neighborhood, your neighbors are bound to jump at your offer to help them out with mundane chores. If you're looking for a few lucrative ideas, here are some tried and true neighborhood chores that you can do to fill your wallet.

1. Landscaping

Mowing lawns, pulling weeds, raking leaves. So many people simply detest doing garden work. If you have a green thumb, offering your services to neighbors is a great way to spend some time outside and make some cash at the same time.

2. Carwash

Getting some friends together to wash your neighbors' cars is a fun and simple way to make some cash. While you can always go for the simple exterior wash, if you want to make more money, you can also buy the supplies to detail the car interiors.

3. Pet care

For any animal lover, pet sitting and dog walking are great ways to make some extra money. Most of these jobs will be relatively low commitment, and you get the bonus of being able to spend some time with some cute critters.

4. House Sitting

If you have neighbors who travel often, you may be able to make money by house sitting. Whether you're watering plants or taking care of a pool, most of your duties will require very few special skills, so it's an incredibly simple role.

5. Cleaning

Most families have cluttered garage, closet, or attic that they wish was a little bit tidier. Offering to organize, keep, donate, and sell piles of your neighbors' old items could be a great way to help a busy adult and make some money while you're at it!
