Destinations Career Academies offer a wide selection of high school courses for students at different levels of achievement, including Advanced Placement®, honors, core, and credit recovery. The list below illustrates the courses available in typically required subject areas. Once you choose a career field and pathway, you’ll take career-focused electives in that pathway each semester. These electives are delivered via project based learning (PBL) and are sequenced and designed to build on one another. Course offerings vary by school and semester, so check with your counselor for details.
Please note that course offerings vary by school and semester. Once enrolled, your assigned guidance counselor will provide current information on your school’s course offerings.
Here is a sample schedule for a Destinations student starting the IT Gaming Design and Programming pathway in the ninth grade. All pathway courses are bolded. For many pathways, it's possible to start career-related courses after ninth grade, but the course progression would be accelerated. Please talk with your school counselor for more details.
