EARN COLLEGE CREDITS
At Destinations Career Academy, you can earn college credits* and get a head-start on your next steps after high school. Whether your plan is to attend college or enter a job right away, college credits can potentially count towards your chosen major, industry-related license, or certifications.
Through Advanced Placement (AP)® classes, you can study a wide range of subjects at a college level. After taking the AP® exam at the end of the course, your scores may earn college credits depending on the specific college policies.
- Similarly, upon graduation and the successful completion of any certification exams**, you have the option to submit your scores to NOCTI® for their National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS). This service generates a report that acts as a transcript for colleges to review and recognize certifications as college credits.
Lastly, you can receive dual college and high school credits for the courses you take.*
If you’re interested in earning college credits, be sure to check with your school counselor to find what options might be available.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT® (AP®) COURSES AT DESTINATIONS
AP® courses are rigorous academic high school classes designed to be equivalent to an introductory level college course. These courses are designed to prepare students to take the AP® exam in a specific subject. A passing score on these exams may allow you to receive college credit, depending on your enrolling college. Check with your school to see which AP® classes are available.*
