Students can earn college credit in a variety of ways.
Some students receive dual college and high school credits for courses taken at a local college or at their high school. Not all Destinations Career Academies offer college credit courses and the courses eligible for college credit vary, so be sure to check with your school for a list of courses that qualify.
Students who take an eligible NOCTI® certification exam and achieve a 70 percent or higher are eligible to receive a College Credit Recommendation Report—accepted by more than 1,500 colleges and universities nationwide—for college credit consideration. Students can also obtain an official transcript through Excelsior College for each certification they earn. For additional information or to view a list of participating colleges in your state and a list of eligible certification exams, please visit the NOCTI® website.
Many Destinations Career Academies offer Advanced Placement® (AP®) courses. AP® courses are designed to help prepare students to take the AP® exam in a particular subject. Their AP® exam score may allow them to receive college credit, as determined by their enrolling college. Please check with your school for a list of available AP® courses.
