Shaun's achievements include a decade-long tenure at Lincoln Educational Services, a leading provider of technical skills training with dozens of "Lincoln Tech" locations around the U.S. While there, Shaun held multiple leadership roles including President and CEO.
Following his role as CEO of Lincoln Educational Services, Shaun served as CEO and Provost of two smaller institutions, American Career Colleges and Neumont College of Computer Science. Shaun has served on numerous boards and possesses both private and public company operating and governance experience.
Shaun earned a doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in education administration at the University of San Francisco, and an undergraduate degree in developmental psychology at Brigham Young University. Additionally, he is writing a book entitled Different by Choice, in which he chronicles his philosophy on personal excellence.
Leilani has decades of marketing, brand, and communications experience. She leads K12's expanding development of public and private-sector partnerships. In addition, she manages several cross-functional strategic initiatives on behalf of the chairman, such as the company's strategic investment in Tallo—a career platform that connects high school students, college students, and young adults to career and higher education opportunities.
Prior to joining K12, Leilani served as chief marketing officer of Starr Companies, a global insurance and investment organization. She has also held leadership roles at other major companies including the Economist Group, MetLife, and American International Group.
Leilani is the author of From Campus to Cubicle: 25 Tips for Your First Professional Year, a career guide for young professionals and recent graduates. She serves on the board of Middlebury College, her alma mater, and the Executive Leadership Council, the premier membership organization for global black executives. She is also a graduate of New York University.
Pat is focusing his drive for innovation by commencing an effort to introduce Project Based Learning into our career education programs. Pat leads the program design for Destinations Career Academies to ensure student's successful matriculation through completion of career pathways, and is also creating a framework for students to find summer jobs, internships, and mentorship opportunities.
Pat joins us from Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Counties BOCES (HFM BOCES), where, as district superintendent, he increased the role of technology throughout its programs and services. Pat is an outspoken critic of inertia in the public education system and an advocate for rethinking education for today's 21st century student.
